On June 2, we welcomed a group of Montreal's leading beauty content creators for an intimate breakfast event at Le Fou Fou at Royalmount to celebrate our fragrance collection and unveil our new Classique scented candle.

Created in collaboration with the incredible teams at À la table and In-House Initiative, the event was designed as a multi-sensory experience inspired by the art of fragrance. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, from the breakfast menu to the stunning floral arrangements, which reflected the notes found within our perfumes.

Guests had the opportunity to discover the full JACOB fragrance collection, including Classique, Joie de Vivre and Very Chic, while learning about the inspiration and craftsmanship behind each scent.

For many attendees, the story behind the collection was particularly meaningful.

The Story Behind the Scents

Founded in 1977 by Joey Basmaji, JACOB grew from a single store in Sorel into one of Canada's most recognized fashion brands. Throughout the years, the company built lasting relationships with generations of Canadian women through its commitment to timeless style, quality and authenticity.

One of the most memorable milestones in JACOB's history was the launch of Classique, created to celebrate the brand's 30th anniversary. The fragrance quickly became a customer favourite and went on to become one of Canada's bestselling perfumes.

Even after the closure of JACOB’s 250 stores in 2014, customers continued reaching out to share their memories and ask for the return of the fragrances they loved. Their loyalty and enthusiasm ultimately inspired the relaunch of our perfume collection.

The Art of Scent at Home

The event also marked the official unveiling of the new Classique scented candle. Proudly made in Canada, the candle features a sophisticated matte black vessel, an enhanced 200 g format and a premium paraffin-soy wax blend designed to deliver a beautiful and lasting fragrance experience throughout the home.

Inspired by the elegant notes of Classique, the candle was created to bring warmth, comfort and sophistication to everyday moments.

We are grateful to everyone who joined us for this special morning and helped celebrate the continuing evolution of the JACOB story.

The new Classique scented candle is now available online for $42. With only 200 candles produced, quantities are limited.
